Advanced practice focus groups

Step 1 of 2

Welcome and thank you

In this focus group we will be delving into your experiences and views of advanced practice – whether obtained in the UK or outside of the UK.

Advanced practice in the UK is defined as a level of practice in which the practitioner has demonstrated their ability to work independently at a high level across clinical practice, leadership and management, education and research. Nurses and midwives working at this level are typically referred to as ‘advanced nurse or midwife practitioners’ – although a wide range of role titles are in use.

This level of practice is currently not recorded on the NMC register and there is wide variation in the requirements for the role and how it is implemented. Before the NMC makes any changes in their approach to overseeing advanced practice, they want to ensure that they fully understand the potential impacts of any proposed changes on nurses and midwives who trained outside of the UK.

About you

To help us select the most appropriate focus group, we need to ask you a little bit about yourself.
You can choose as many categories as apply. If none of these categories apply to you, then you are not one of the target groups we are interested in speaking to at this time.
