GS1.1 – Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Assessment and 90-minute Feedback Session

Introduction

This programme of development offers a supportive learning space to develop leadership identity, capacity, and capability to influence organisational and patient outcomes.

Aim of the Florence Nightingale Foundation Leadership Programme

To develop nursing, midwifery and allied healthcare professional leadership identity, capacity and capability to influence organisational and patient outcomes at a local, systems, national and international level of healthcare delivery. 

Learning Outcomes

  • To introduce concept of self and impact of self on others through the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
  • To explore the MBTI preference pairs and apply concepts to self through a range of experiential learning exercises 
  • To consider the outcome of MBTI self-assessment and questionnaire to identify areas for personal and team development

Instructions for the session and pre-reading material. 

A prerequisite for this workshop is that you will be asked to complete an MBTI personality questionnaire, which will inform you on your personality preferences and support your leadership development over the duration of the programme.  Please complete this questionnaire before your welcome day.  

Guidance for completing the questionnaire:

  • Please complete this alone in a quiet environment where you cannot be disturbed
  • Please answer the questions as instinctively as possible
  • Please try and answer as an individual without any influence of work or home life

You will receive your results at the feedback session with The Kings Fund.
